Mr. Isom was an Electronic Technician in the Navy from 1958 through 1961 and graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1969 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. While getting his Electrical Engineering degree, he was an Electrical Technician; Associate Engineer and Design Engineer with Varo, Inc. from 1963 through 1969 testing and then designing electronic power systems built for the military. He was a Design Engineer and Project Engineer with Unitron, Inc from 1969 through 1973 designing electronic power equipment for use by the military. He was a Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, Director of Operations and Sales Manager with International Power Machines Corporation from 1973 through 1981 designing, managing and selling Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). He then founded Isom Datapower, Inc. in 1981 as a sales representative firm selling UPS and other related electronic power equipment.When Mr. Isom's daughter, Darla McCain, joined the firm in 1988, the company became active in the Data Communications equipment market. Darla had previous experience in selling Data Communications equipment and, as Vice-President of the company, is responsible for all sales and purchase related activities. In 1992, all electronic power equipment lines were dropped and the firm was dedicated only to the buying and selling of Data Communications and related equipment. The company has brought together a team of dedicated people committed to the Isom Datapower, Inc. original and continuing goal of customer satisfaction.Customer satisfaction means helping the customer in every way possible. It starts from initial order placement, whether by phone, fax, or e-mail, through shipping the equipment, per your instructions, to the destination at the time you need it to arrive. All equipment is thoroughly inspected, cleaned, tested, and packed before shipment. We offer overnight, 2-day, 3-day, and regular delivery services.
